DIY At Home Hair Masks

Okay we all know when you’re bored at home during a #QUARANTINE all you may want to do is have a little fun with your hair + #selfcare, so we are here to help!

Let me preface this article that we do NOT reccomend this in place of salon treatments or salon-worthy hair products!!!

We are going to make it short and sweet, here’s some options:

Coconut Oil Mask

1. Melt 2 TBSP of coconut oil in the microwave.

2. Apply to your hair starting at the ends and combing it into your hair to work it up towards the roots.

3. Leave on for 40 min.

4. Rinse, Shampoo and Condition lightly or not at all

Some notes, trust me you want to READ THESE:

Coconut oil is a DRY oil. DO NOT under any circumstances apply heat to your hair once this oil is on until you have thoroughly washed it out with shampoo. We suggest avoiding the roots all-together because this may leave you feeling greasy, or just make sure you have no one to see for the next 2 days!

Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse

  • 2 parts water + 1 part apple cider vinegar

  • Pour over scalp / hair

  • Massage into scalp

  • Let sit, or rinse right out

  • This will leave your hair shiny and soft, but beware - You may want to hold your nose for this one! We suggest you put in a spray bottle and spritz on your hair as to not waste and be able to use again just make sure you are fully saturating your hair with the mixture

These will remove product build up, moisturize the scalp and promote healthy shiny soft hair. IF you try it and love it, tag @branchsalon in your post so we can see how much fun you’re having at home right now !

Happy at home hair days everyone !
